Juglans cinerea

The Butternut or White Walnut produces drooping clusters of nuts. The buttery sweet tasting nuts are commonly used in baking but have other uses as well, including candle making. This impressive variety yields bountiful crops of mild-flavored nuts that are easy to shell and perfect for eating fresh or baking. Prefers well drained soil. Matures to be 40-50' tall. Cold-hardy. Ripens in late August to late September. Bears in 2-3 Years! (Self-Pollinating, plant 2 trees for better yield)  Item #L6190 Shipping Size: 3-4 Feet.

    The trees were very well packed and looked good upon arrival. I have them planted. It is too soon to know how they will grow

    They arrived unbroken in good cardboard box. I have planted them watered them. Can't say anymore until I see how they grow. Thank you for the product.

    The trees were well prepared and packed; I planted them almost immediately and they are looking very well, sporting some nice new shoots.
