The American Hazelnut Tree (2-Pack) grows well in USDA Hardiness Zones 4-8. It typically thrives in Full to Partial Sun and has a 12-24 Inches growth rate per year. Once full grown they can reach a height of 15-20 Feet and 10-15 Feet in spread. The American Hazelnut Tree (2-Pack) does well or is tolerant in Well-Drained Acidic, alkaline, rich, sandy soil. In fall expect to see the leaves transition to a beautiful hue of Yellow and orange. With proper conditions they will produce Nuts that are edible to humans. Be ready to see a variety of wildlife drawn to the American Hazelnut Tree (2-Pack) as they can attract Birds and Small Mammals.     Trees arrived ready to plant, perfect timing for my climate.

    Trees were a good size and packed with a moisture retaining material around roots. Instructions for planting were included. Buds appeared within a few days of planting.

    Hazelnut seedlings

    So far, so good! Seedlings have leafed out and looking good after 5 days in the ground. Have planted in a grouping with other established hazelnuts (Arbor Day Project), so hoping for some cross pollination with these varieties.

    I messed up and ordered after the deadline .the tree store was gracious enough to get me my order when I needed it. to top it off it was Thanksgiving week and the tree store came through for me .
