Product Overview

Fagus grandifolia

The American Beech Tree grows well in USDA Hardiness Zones 4-9. It typically thrives in Full to Partial Sun and can grow 18-24 in. per year. Once full grown they can reach a height of 50-70 ft and a spread of 35-50 ft. The American Beech Tree does best in Moist, Well-Drained Rich, Acidic soil. In fall expect to see the leaves transition to a beautiful hue of Bronze. With proper conditions they will produce Nuts that are edible to humans. Pet sensitivites are always specifc to size and breed so please check with a vet before allowing your pet to consume any part of a plant. However, general studies do show that these are not pet safe. Be ready to see a variety of wildlife drawn to the American Beech Tree as they can attract Birds, Chipmunks, and Squirrels. When receiving your plant they will ship to you between 12-24 in. in height. We unfortuately can not send these to the following states: AK, CA, HI. We apologize! We only ship to the Continental U.S. and some states and the USDA have restrictions on specific plants. Please refer to the above section for a breakdown of the plant details and information. Happy Planting!

    Beech tree

Posted by Brian McCraney on Dec 19th 2019

Tree arrived in great condition with small buds in the trunk. Leafed out shortly after being planted but seemed to struggle after a couple months. Hoping it will continue to thrive next spring. I plan to order more beech trees as I am happy with the condition the trees arrive in.

    Convenient, good product

Posted by Emily on Apr 2nd 2019

Ordering online was a breeze and the prices were awesome. The product came neatly and efficiently packaged. We planted the saplings 5 days ago, so I can’t speak for their success thus far, but given the quality of the saplings, there shouldn’t be any issues. The Tree Company generously threw in a sample tree which we graciously planted! We definitely recommend this company to anyone anywhere (we are located in Georgia).
